Lash Lift or Lash Extensions: Which Suits You?
Both give you eye-opening lashes, but they get there in completely different ways. A lash lift works with what you have: it curls your natural lashes upward from the root, so they look longer and more defined without adding anything. Extensions add individual synthetic lashes to your own, building length and volume beyond what nature gave you.
A lash lift is the low-maintenance option. One treatment, then six to eight weeks of waking up with lifted, defined lashes. Pair it with a tint and even fair lashes look mascara-dark. There is nothing to maintain beyond keeping them dry for the first day, and the lift simply relaxes as your lashes naturally renew.
Extensions give a more dramatic, customisable result, from natural wisps to full glamour. The trade-off is upkeep: as your natural lashes shed, the extensions go with them, so infills every few weeks keep the look full. They also ask a little more care day to day, like avoiding oil-based products around the eyes.
Which one suits you? If you want a natural everyday enhancement with near-zero maintenance, the lift wins. If you want visible volume and length and do not mind regular appointments, extensions deliver a look a lift cannot.
Whichever way you lean, lash health comes first. A properly done lift or a well-applied set of extensions should never leave your natural lashes worse off. That is a matter of good products, correct timing and honest advice about what your lashes can carry.
